Big, ripe, inviting nose of plum, cherries, with a herbal/spicy side (rosemary and thyme), and a meaty (fresh lamb/musk) character. Medium-full bodied, with deep concentrated fruit, earthy/spicy complexity, and a lusty, alcoholic, expansive finish. Good length. 3	2005 Syrah "Organic" Sulfites: less than 10 parts per million Appellation: Sierra Foothills Renaissance Vineyard & Winery (Oregon House, CA) -- (Winery Info & All Wines) This was a top flight vintage for our Syrah, producing a big, dark wine, with a huge, meaty, sweaty, deeply spicy nose with complex seaweed, violet and ripe blueberry notes. The wine is full bodied, firm and structured on the attack, opening further back on the palate to reveal stunning depth and fruit concentration, and a long, spicy/minerally finish. 5	2006 Viognier "Organic" Sulfites: less than 10 parts per million Appellation: Sierra Foothills Renaissance Vineyard & Winery (Oregon House, CA) -- (Winery Info & All Wines) Winemaker: Gideon Beinstock Cold Fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Neutral oak ovals on the lees. Color is yellow-green, relatively pale for our Viognier. Quite an exuberant nose with gardenia, honeysuckle, white jasmine and melon. Medium bodied, very focused, but not at all heavy. Flavors of pomelo, grapefruit and guava –ripe. Refined and elegant in style with an alertness given by the acidity.
